The Ministry of Foreign Affairs actively promotes friendship between countries and enhances Korea’s national reputation through sports. In particular, the Ministry is expanding its sports diplomacy by supporting international sports exchanges and cooperation, as well as bidding for hosting major international sporting events, and continuously strengthening the role of sports public diplomacy.

The Ministry also hosts various sporting events, such as the Korean Ambassador’s Cup Taekwondo Championship, esports, hockey, and the game of Go, as part of its public diplomacy. These serve as a platform for cross-border resonance exchange, making a significant contribution to enhancing Korea’s positive image worldwide.
