On 22 February, Ambassador HAM Sang Wook presented his credentials to Ms. Nataša Pirc Musar, President of Slovenia, at the Presidential Palace.
After the presentation of credentials, Ambassador Ham and President Musar exchanged views on the development of Korea-Slovenia relations, the promotion of cooperation at the international level, and the current status of security in Europe, the Korean Peninsula, and worldwide.
President Musar emphasized that Slovenia's relationship with the Republic of Korea, a country that shares core values of democracy, human rights, and multilateralism, and a leading democracy and economy, is very important. She was also impressed by Korea's entrance to Europe through the Port of Koper and its development of the IT and automobile industry.
Ambassador Ham looked forward to strengthening people exchange, trade and investment, and the cooperation in logistics and energy based on the shared values of the two countries and called for Slovenia's support for the Korean Government's efforts in bringing peace and denuclearization in the Korean Peninsula. He also called for close cooperation between the two countries at the international level (UN etc.).
